Farage is ‘special case’ requiring ‘strong penalty’, says EU parliament chief

Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliamant, gave this statement while on a visit to Bulgaria on Wednesday, commenting on the fine slapped Tuesday on recalcitrant eurosceptic MEP Nigel Farage of the UK Independence Party, who last week insulted EU President Herman van Rompuy during a debate at the parliament in Brussels.
