ECB chief Trichet warns against ‘financial nationalism’ in Europe

European Central Bank Chief Jean-Claude Trichet on Saturday urged finance ministers and central bank presidents of the 27 European Union member states to avoid “financial nationalism” and “financial mercantilism” when discussing plans for further economic cooperation. Speaking at a press conference after the informal Ecofin meeting in Madrid, Trichet said
