Cordoba hosts EU talks with Alliance of Civilisations

Religious freedom and the prevention of religious extremism will be the main focus of a High Level EU meeting being held in the Palacio de Congresos in Córdoba, Spain, on Monday and Tuesday.

The meeting has been organised as part of Spain’s presidency of the European Union. The meeting will serve as a platform for debate on religious freedom in democratic society, with specific debates on: religious pluralism in democratic societies; the role of religious leaders in promoting a culture of peace; preventing religious radicalisation and extremism; and cooperation to promote religious freedom and interfaith dialogue.
