Gaddafi must give up power now, says Van Rompuy

The European Council president todsay released a statement signalling the EU’s continued concern for the safety of Libyans under Col.Gaddafi’s rule. He urged Gaddafi to relinquish power today, and soid the EU would do everything possible to support a democratic tranistion in the county. Mr Van Rompuy also spoke about the escalating humanitarian crisi facing the country.
