www.lisboncouncil.net In the week prior to the spring European Council, The Europe 2020 Summit convened under the timely theme of An Action Plan for the Post-Crisis World and animated a broader, more solution-oriented debate about Europe’s economic and social future. José Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission, gave an inspiring keynote address. Wim Kok, former prime minister of the Netherlands and author of the foreword to An Action Plan for Europe 2020 Strategic Advice for the Post-Crisis World, a Lisbon Council publication launched at the event, addressed the conference in a video message.
