French President Nicholas Sarkozy has moved to allay doubts about the divisions between EU member states on their role in the intervention in Libya, under resolution 1973. President Sarkozy was one of the most forceful advocates of a military intervention, along with UK PM David Cameron, while Angela Merkel’s Germany prefered to avoid the current outcome of EU involvement in military action in the Arab world.
