UN urges EU to provide refuge for thousands fleeing Libya

During an interview on the situation in Libya, held at UN Headquarters in Geneva, the High Commissioner for Refugees appealed to Europe to ‘assume it’s responsibility as a continent of asylum’ and to provide temporary refuge to thoudsands in need. Meanwhile the borders regions between Tunisia and Libya are facing a ‘severe humanitarian crisis’ as aid agency struggle to manage the thousands strong flow of refugees.
