He added that “nuclear risks do not stop at our borders. Our responsibility and solidarity should not stop at our borders either”. At the Chernobyl Pledging Conference earlier today President Barroso confirmed an additional pledge by the Commission of 110 million Euro to transform Chernobyl into a secure and environmentally safe site.
