Berlusconi takes no questions during surprise visit to Brussels (raw video)

Is he saving the country or running away? Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s Prime Minister, paid a surprised visit to Brussels and Strasbourg on Tuesday while he was due to meet with prosecutors in Italy. Instead, Mr. Berlusconi met with European Council president Herman Van Rompuy on Tuesday morning and travelled to Strasbourg in the afternoon to meet up with the European Commission president, Jose Manuel Barroso. Oficially, the Italian Primer MInister intended to discuss during this prompted visit the developing crisis in the eurozone. But in Italy, the opposition says that Berlusconi arranged this trip himself so that he could avoid speaking to investigators.
