Speaking in a press conference in Brussels on Thursday, commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Olli Rehn predicted that the economic growth in the eurozone will come to a “virtual standstill” by the end of the year. After unavailing the interim economic report, Rehn said that predictions are “gloomier” than in spring, adding that “risks to the growth outlook are tilted to the downside”.
