Catherine Ashton, the EU’s foreign affairs chief, said on Tuesday in Brussels that the European Union is very disappointed in the verdict of Yulia Tymoshenko, adding that it will have an impact on EU-Ukraine relations. The former Ukrainian president has been sentenced to 7 years in prison on charges of abuse of power. The trial has been broadly criticized by Western countries.
