Parlamentarium seen as 21 mln euro ‘temple’, ‘propaganda centre’ for MEPs

The European Parliament on Friday opened a brand new visitors’ centre. The Parlamentarium, built at a cost of some 21 million euro, has been hailed by some as a “unique opportunity’ for European citizens to see how the European Union, in particular the parliament, works. Others have criticized the cost of the project, labeling it as a waste of money. The Daily Telegraph has named the centre a ‘new temple for MEPs’.
