President of the European Parliament, Jersy Buzek, on Friday told journalists in a press conference that, despite the UK’s veto to a fully fleshed treaty change, the agreement on an intergovernmental treaty showed a stronger and more united European Union.

Barroso: Euro members are doing “whatever they can” to support euro
