1. Does EUX.TV have an editorial charter?
Just like Euractiv.com, EUX.TV maintains a strict separation between editorial and commercial content. Our News videos, Interviews and News Reports are bound by EurActiv’s editorial charter. Advertisements served with these editorial productions are not related to its content.
Our Event Videos and Policy Videos are regarded as sponsored content that directly or indirectly reflect the opinion or position of a client or sponsor. The names of these sponsors are always clearly identified.
2. If I order an Event Video or a Policy Video via EUX.TV, will that also be shown on EurActiv.com?
Yes. There are three ways to do so:
- The videos can be attached to a blog post on BlogActiv.eu. These blog posts rotate on the homepage of EurActiv.com.
- The video is included on EurActiv.com via the Euractiv press release service, which also is shown on the homepage.
- A video advertisement can be created that runs as a traditional banner ad on EurActiv.com.
In addition, a Policy Video or Event Video can be attached to a EurActiv.com article if the editor considers it worth doing so.
3. Can I buy footage from EurActiv EUX.TV?
If you wish to purchase the rights to use footage from any EUX.TV video or to purchase the rights to show a EUX.TV video, please contact us at mail@eux.tv. Much but not all of our content is available under a Creative Commons license.
4. Why does my video always interrupt?
The problem is likely to be related to a slow internet connection or your computer is not able to play a high-quality video file. Try to play a file of lower quality. If the problem persists, get a faster internet connection or make sure your computer is capable of properly playing video. Computers older than five years still may have problems.
5. Can I watch EUX.TV on my iPhone or GSM?
Yes. Thanks to YouTube, you can play all our clips from the palm of your hand. http://m.youtube.com/euxtv is the easiest way to do so.
6. I am having audio difficulties when viewing video. How can I fix this?
Poor audio can result from multiple sources. Internet traffic congestion is the most common cause of pauses or stops, though high CPU usage on your computer or low speed connections can also result in similar issues.
Receiving no audio transmission is generally an indicator that your speakers or system volume have been muted. Make sure that your audio is enabled and that both your system volume and video player volume have the “mute” function disabled.
7. What is RSS?
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” EUX.TV offers a ‘Video RSS‘ feed. It’s a way for EUX.TV to automatically send an overview of the latest videos that have been uploaded.
8. How can I advertise on EUX.TV?
To advertise on EUX.TV, simply contact us on mail@eux.tv.
9. Can I propose a programme for EurActiv EUX.TV?
Yes of course. Programme proposals in direct relations with European policy are welcome. Please send you suggestion to mail@eux.tv.
10. How can amplify the impact of my conference?
EUX.TV has developed a product called the Event Pack to help EU actors produce and promote multiple video clips of their event. Contact us via mail@eux.tv to hear more on this unique proposal.
11. Do you have jobs available? How can I apply?
You can find all the job and application information at http://eux.tv/aboutus/jobs.
12. When can I watch EUX.TV on my television?
EUX.TV is not available on traditional television networks, such as cable and satellite. At least not yet.
In the near future, however, EUX.TV’s content will become available on living room screens via IPTV services such as those provided for instance by Yuixx.com and by Samsung’s new generation of televisions which are capable of playing HD videos from YouTube.
